Point Level detection in condensate pots.
Application
Condensate chambers, also referred to as seal pots, condensate pots and sometimes knockout pots, are used in a variety of industries to trap and hold foreign materials that may accumulate in gaseous service lines. These condensate pots periodically become full and have to be drained off.
Years ago, it was necessary for a worker to check each pot daily and manually drain them as needed. Today, the automated solution is to use a Point Level switch. These units can reliably measure virtually any liquid, from low conductivity natural gas condensate all the way to water. When activated, the level switch sends a signal which can be used to turn on a light, sound an alarm, actuate a solenoid to open a valve and drain the pot or be sent to a PLC or other controller.
